Islam is submission to Allah, the Creator of everything. At its foundation is Tawhid: worshipping Allah alone, without giving any share of worship to anyone or anything besides Him.
Islam teaches us to know our Creator, worship Him as He commanded, and follow the guidance He revealed through His messengers.
Muhammad ﷺ did not introduce a new God or a new foundation of belief. He called people to the same essential message taught by the prophets before him: worship Allah alone and follow His guidance.
Muslims believe Muhammad ﷺ is the final Messenger of Allah, sent with the final revealed guidance for humanity.
One Message
Allah did not leave humanity without guidance. Throughout history, He sent messengers calling people back to the same foundation: worship Allah alone and reject false objects of worship.
From Adam onward, Allah guided humanity, and among His prophets were Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and finally Muhammad ﷺ. Muslims love and believe in the prophets and do not treat the true messengers of Allah as rivals competing with one another.
Their central religion was one: submission to Allah and Tawhid. Particular laws and rulings given to different communities could differ, but the foundation of worshipping Allah alone did not change.
Islam therefore presents the message of Muhammad ﷺ as the completion of the same prophetic call, not as a rejection of the prophets who came before him.
Our Purpose
Islam gives a clear answer to the question of human purpose: Allah created us to worship Him.
Worship in Islam is broader than rituals alone. It includes prayer and remembrance of Allah, but it also includes obeying Him, being truthful, showing good character, fulfilling responsibilities, and living in a way that seeks His pleasure.
This worldly life is also a test. Our choices matter, our deeds matter, and our lives are not without accountability.
We came from Allah’s creation and we will return to Him. Islam therefore teaches us to live with purpose now while preparing for the life to come.

Yes. Allah sent messengers and revelation so people could know Him, worship Him correctly, distinguish truth from falsehood, and understand their responsibility before Him.
Islam teaches that revelation is not an unusual exception in human history. Divine guidance through messengers is part of Allah’s established way of guiding humanity.

Muhammad ﷺ is the final Messenger of Allah. He called humanity to worship Allah alone and conveyed the Qur’an and the guidance Allah revealed to him.
Islam asks people to consider his message, his truthfulness, and the revelation he brought rather than believing merely because others do.

The Qur’an is the revelation Allah sent to Muhammad ﷺ. It is the speech of Allah, a guidance for people, and Allah has promised to preserve it.
The Qur’an repeatedly invites people to listen, reflect, consider its message, and examine the claim that it is revelation from Allah.

Islam teaches that death is not the end. Allah will resurrect humanity, people will be judged for their deeds, and the life of the Hereafter will follow.
Belief in the Hereafter gives this life moral weight: what we believe and how we live have consequences beyond death.
