What is the Day of Judgment?

Why This Question Matters

Islam teaches that moral accountability does not end with death. Many acts of goodness are never fully rewarded in this world, and many injustices are never fully corrected here. The Day of Judgment is when Allah’s complete justice becomes manifest and every person answers for what he or she did.

Islamic Perspective

The Qur’an teaches that the Trumpet will be blown and humanity will be raised again. People will be gathered before Allah just as He created them the first time. Their records will be presented, their deeds will be brought forward, and the scales of justice will be established. Nothing is forgotten and no one is wronged, even by the smallest amount. The Day of Judgment is therefore both a warning and a source of hope: every injustice matters, every sincere act of obedience matters, and the final judgment belongs to Allah alone.
